Matt is responsible for guiding all aspects Gauge Design Group’s business including brand strategy, business development, and estate caliber client relations.

Matt joined the company in 2013 as Executive Vice President where he led technical oversight of key projects and began implementing advanced manufacturing technologies. Matt stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2015 upon Shawn’s partial retirement.

Prior to joining Gauge Design Group Matt was an entrepreneur, having started a variety of successful ventures in the design, real estate, and construction industries.

When he’s not managing technically challenging projects, Matt may be found skiing, skateboarding, or simply enhancing his already detailed observation of life. He’s toured in a punk rock band, participated in archaeological digs, and is an avid tattoo collector. Matt’s greatest accomplishment was marrying his college sweetheart Erin. Like his dad, Matt is the proud father of two boys, Gavin and Griffin who are also creating some of the modern marvels of the world with Legos.

Matt holds a BS in anthropology from the University of Northern Colorado.
